Newcastle put up quite a tough fight in their last game against Bath. Although Bath managed to get a bonus point win, the sticky moments posed by bottom club Newcastle showed that this club still has the potential in them to perform better and move up the points table. They were initially leading with a score of 14-8 till the half time and Bath was having a tough time trying to score and keep the points increasing.
However there was drastic turn of events in the second half and Bath managed to take it over to a victory stand with a total score of 30-24. Some of the defects of the Newcastle rugby club players were that they were inconsistent in their game play and lost focus at times during the game which did bring about a huge impact and managed to affect their standings in the second half.
If they could manage to improve on these nitty-gritty details they might have a better prospect with respect to other teams and might perform better in the years to come. They have proved their worth, but all they need to do now is to constantly keep it steady and going.
Newcastle hardly got to see any glimpses of the ball with their players as Bath kept stringing through phases and [asses and eventually scoring goals. The Newcastle’s did manage to put in a strong defense, but ended up in hitting one of Bath players and this was followed by a penalty kick which ultimately led to the victory of the Bath rugby club and a shift higher up in the Aviva Premiership table. However, this is no time for Newcastle rugby players to sit back depressed. They need to focus on their game and improve on certain key areas so that they can perform even better in the years to come.
