Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the Newcastle Falcons have completed the signing of French prop forward Frank Montanella, strengthening their options in the front row as they get ready for their return to the top flight of English domestic rugby after a year absent from it.
The 31 year old player was part of the London Welsh side last season and was a success story for the club in spite of the club being relegated to the Rugby Football Union Championship at the end of the season and has put pen to paper on a two year deal with the Kingston Park club.
Speaking to the official website of the club, the player stated that The Falcons have a great reputation in the game and mentioned that he cannot to wait to link up with his new teammates in training ahead of the new season. He went on to add that he is delighted to be given the chance to play in the Aviva Premiership once again after suffering relegation with The Exiles and thanked the Newcastle Falcons for putting their faith in him.
