The Falcons scrum-half Micky Young will look to repeat his former glories if he could make it to the starting XV in a game where England Saxons will take on South Africa A. The 27-year-old Falcons scrum-half was a member of the 2010 and 2011 Saxons squad that won back-to-back Churchill Cups.
Seven players in the starting XV have senior international experience with Kieran Brookes having made 16 appearances and Danny Cipriani with 14 appearances. England Saxons coach Ali Hepher sounded confident and said that they are pleased with the way the squad is progressing together.
The objective of this tour is to find out how the players are developing and performing on the international level. Hepher also laid stress upon playing smart and accurate rugby in a fearless way without holding back.
The England Saxons squad features Lewington (London Irish), Devoto (Bath), Cipriani (Wasps), Rokoduguni (Bath), Robson (Wasps), Tompkins (Saracens), Haley (Sale), Taylor (Wasps), Hepburn (Exeter), Attwood (Bath), Brookes (Northampton), Jones (Wasps), Kvesic (Gloucester), Armand (Exeter), Ewels (Bath).
